How do you make a continous arp in FL Studio?

Im using Nexus VST in FL Studio, and some of the sounds have a built-in arp effect, or a similar effect that causes the note to play a sequence of sound. Its a little hard to explain, but imagine a climax reversed cymbal effect with a tone sound in it. If I first make a C note, and then a D note, the main sound resets and the climax starts all over again. Is it an option somewhere to fix this? I could probably use pitching, but its a lot of work for nothing if it really exists an option.
