When a job prospect goes for an interview, he/she is asked 'Can you show me your package?' Should we?

Lately, many recruiters seem very concerned with our 'overall package' to get to know us better but I am confused if this means we reveal too much too soon. Also spitting out this vital piece of information is like treading on moral grounds & there's no way back for a false step . What's your take on the matter ? Is there any smart way around this??
