What is the best music editing software?

I've been using Studio 1 a lot and I'm not too happy with the limitations it has when it comes to effects and VST's. I do however love the simplicity of it. What kind of editing software should I get? Keep in mind I record all my instruments except for drums and keyboards which I prefer to use midi for. Also, I have a pc.
