How do I start a conversation with a guy I like over Facebook?

Well this guy I liked added me on facebok. then he posted one of those statuses saying inobx me any question and I'll answer it truthfully. So I messaged him and I said hey not to be a creep but I was just wondering why you added me. Then he said ohh i've seen you around school and you're friends with my friend. So I said oh yeah im in 4th period with her and i think i've seen you around too.. hmm you seem really chil and we should defintely talk more. Then he said forsure :) I really want to talk to him more. Should I just message him? If I did what should I say?
