Making an Automation Clip when I can't right click on a VST (FL STUDIO)?

For most VST instruments in FL Studio, especially the ones that come with the program, you can right click on an adjustment and make an automation clip in the playlist. But for some VST's that I add to FL, nothing happens when I right click. Is there any way I can make an automation clip in this situation?
