USB and MIDI keyboard differences?

You could buy a USB to MIDI interface cable. I have one and it works really well, but be aware that they aren't all created equal. The first one I bought was a really cheap bare-bones one for under $6 and it didn't work. I spent a little more on a Yamaha cable that came with a driver CD and it works.
